Real change shows up in small wins that add up. Here are four snapshots from this year.
Ayesha — From non-reader to book club host
Ayesha (Grade 3) arrived reading only a few letters. After 16 weeks of daily phonics and paired reading, she moved up three levels and now leads a Friday read-aloud in the library.
Hamza — Catching up in math, leading on the field
Hamza (Grade 6) struggled with fractions. With small-group tutoring and practice sheets, he hit 80% on term benchmarks and captained his house team to the inter-house football final.
Sana — First in family to earn a scholarship
Supported by our counselor and a volunteer mentor, Sana (Grade 8) prepared a strong portfolio and interview. She secured a 2-year scholarship at a partner high school.
Bilal — Confidence through making and coding
Quiet in class, Bilal (Grade 5) found his voice in Science & Makers Club. He built a simple soil-moisture alarm and presented it at the school showcase; he’s now learning Scratch.
What helps
Targeted catch-up blocks, caring adults, steady routines, and chances to practice skills in clubs and showcases.
