Mera Ghar Orphanage has opened a 20-seat computer lab to give our students hands-on digital skills. The lab includes desktop PCs, safe internet access, and learning software for typing, coding with Scratch, and Google Workspace.
“Many of our children are touching a computer for the first time,” said Head Teacher Ayesha Khan. “Within weeks we expect faster typing, better research skills, and more confident class presentations.”
The lab will serve Nursery to Grade 8 with age-appropriate lessons. Younger students will start with mouse control, phonics games, and drawing tools. Middle schoolers will learn spreadsheets, slide design, email etiquette, and basic coding.
This project was funded by community donors and a local tech partner who provided refurbished PCs and maintenance support. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
